Safer stays with Isle of Man Lodges
As frequent travellers and adventurers ourselves, we understand and appreciate the changes in expectations which visitors to Bishop’s Lodge and Chapel Bay Lodge will experience.
Guests travelling in a post-pandemic era will seek to be reassured that their visit is as safe as possible.
In recognition of the need to build new levels of confidence in our self catering properties, we have been working hard to adapt our processes and have attained the Isle of Man Government backed Quality In Tourism ‘Safe, Clean and Legal’ accreditation.
Quality In Tourism is a tourism and hospitality quality assessment provider which has been assessing hospitality and tourism properties to set and improve industry standards across the UK for over 15 years, with Visit Isle of Man having worked with the assessor for over 13 years.
The ‘Safe, Clean and Legal’ accreditation involves an independent third party assessment (subsequently performed annually) which grades a business as safe and compliant based on a number of strict factors and criteria including cleaning protocols and compliance, and public safety measures.
We have reviewed our procedures at every stage of a booking, from how we respond to initial guest enquiries to our cleaning protocols on turnarounds, and have implemented changes in accordance with the accreditation to ensure our processes are robust and effective.
A full package of information will be shared with our guests prior to arrival, with additional information available for guests at the Lodge. This will include a pre-arrival Guest Health Questionnaire, and guidelines and contacts if you experience Covid-19 symptoms during your stay. We will also make our Covid-19 specific risk assessment and cleaning schedule for each clean available to our guests.
We have also added the latest Isle of Man Government updates and advice to our website, together with a list of questions and answers specifically in relation to Covid-19, which you can view here. This section of our website is continually updated in line with the ongoing developments during the pandemic.
Whilst we are doing as much as we can to minimise the risk of spreading Coronavirus, there is a certain amount of responsibility that our guests will have to take on board and adhere to, and guests will be advised of requirements in accordance with the latest Government advice.
Now more than ever health and safety is a paramount factor when booking a holiday and we hope these new measures will help our guests to feel confident and comfortable when making their booking and throughout their stay at Bishop’s Lodge or Chapel Bay Lodge.
