Getting around

There's a huge variety of places to see, things to do and sites to visit on the Isle of Man, and you can make the most of your stay with the following transport options:

Local transport

The Isle of Man has a wealth of unusual modes of public transport, so why not sample them all with a Go Explore card - they're valid for travel on bus and rail services as well as the horse trams!  These cards come highly recommended by our guests who have also said that the island's buses are clean, comfortable, reliable and the drivers are very helpful and friendly.

There's also the option of a Go Explore Heritage card which combines 5 days of unlimited travel with access to the Island's excellent Manx National Heritage attractions which include gems such as Cregneash, Castle Rushen, the Laxey Wheel and much, much more!

Car Hire

If you need to hire a car during your stay, we have an agreement with Athol Car Hire which will take the headache and worry out of booking a hire car. 

The rate is £35 per day for hire for two days, £30 per day for hire for 3 or more days.  This price is fully inclusive of all insurances and there are no extra or hidden costs.  All liability rests with Athol so it is risk free and stress free - words not usually associated with car hire!

Cycle Hire

If you want to take in the island's scenery on two wheels, Erin Bike Hut, based in Port Erin offer hire of Mountain Bikes, Road Bikes, Hybrid bikes and E-bikes. 

Prices start at £20 for up to 4 hours or £30 for one day hire of mountain bikes or road bikes, or £50 for one day hire of E-bike hybrids.

Advance booking is recommended to ensure availability on the days required but same day hire is possible depending on the availability of the type of bike you're interested in. 

Delivery and collection either before 9am or after 5.30pm is an option, and maps are provided to customers on collection of the bikes.
